This Master’s degree programme will teach you how to assess, improve and provide advice about information provision within an organization. As a prospective controller you will learn how to cope with changes in the organization and how to motivate people to work hard for the organization.
The Bachelor’s programme in Accountancy & Controlling prepares you for the related Master’s programme. Depending on which MSc you choose, you can train to be an assistant accountant or controller, professions with plenty of job opportunities in our country. After a MSc, you can follow a post-Master’s programme to become a Registered Accountant or Registered Controller.
Career Possibilities
After the Master’s degree, you will be a business economist/business administration graduate specialized in the field of management-information provision. This is a sound basis for various financial management and advisory positions within the business world and governmental and semipublic organizations, such as financial director, business unit controller, financial officer, etc.
Most students continue on to the Post-Graduate degree (fulltime or part-time) for Registered Accountant (RA) or Registered Controller (RC). The programme for registered accountant takes 2 years, as well as a 3-year apprenticeship, and that for registered controllers 2½ years, followed by several years in actual practice as a controller.
