Finance in SPORTS

“Finance in Sports”
Who is financing? Who is risking? Who is profiting?

The budget for the Olympic Games of London 2012 is set at 9.35 billion pound. The NFL realized a revenue of 6.5 billion dollar in 2006. The construction costs of the new Wembley stadium amounted to 778 million pound. The total value of Manchester United Football Club is estimated to be 1.33 billion euro, making it the richest sporting club in the world.

This makes it obvious that there is a huge amount of money circulating in the sporting world today. Often it is expressed that sport is emotion, but it would be better to say that sport is business. For more information op about the subthema's, we would like to refero you to the framwork on the right.
