Anticipating on the current financial situation, the theme of the Risk Finance and Controlling Symposium is 'Credit Crunch: Survival of the Fittest.'
"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but rather the one most adaptable to change."
In the 19th century, Charles Darwin concluded that organisms have to adapt to changing environments if they want to survive. However, this same line of reasoning can be applied to businesses. A striking example is the current crisis that fundamentally changed the economic 'climate'. Companies try to adapt to this changing environment by, for example, reorganizing their businesses.
At this Symposium, you will learn more about the different aspects of these reorganizations. The focus, however, will be on the opportunities (e.g. takeovers) that result from these reorganizations.
We hope to welcome you on the 18th of September
