General Information
How can companies invest in the best way possible, and how should they attract the capital they need for their investments? How can we explain the price-making process at the stock exchange? How should pension funds invest the premiums they receive, so that pensions will still be secure in the future?

Finance is a major field of study within the Faculties of Economics and Management & Organization. Students choose Finance because they feel psychologically at home in a challenging, global, and ever-changing environment. Because they have an analytical mind, but also like to ‘give hands and feet’ to their analytical expertise.Because they want their future careers to be versatile, but at the same time want to have the skills necessary to pursue the things that interest them to the end.

A Master’s degree specialization in Finance provides you with broad expertise in the financial and economic aspects of business economics at an academic level. You are prepared for dealing with the problems that arise in the practice of corporate finance and investing.

Students can specialize in corporate finance, risk analysis and portfolio management. Students acquire analytical, writing and presentation skills.

Career Opportunities
 Depending on the chosen profile, a graduate can end up in various places and in many different organizations.

Some examples: 

  • Financial management (in businesses and other organizations) 
  • Investment and asset management (banks, pension funds, etc.)
  • Risk analysis and management (in businesses and financial institutions)
  • Corporate Governance and Corporate Finance Consulting (strategy, company valuation, mergers and other reorganizations)
  • Jobs involving the stock market (stock exchange, stock watch, banks, trading firms)
