Cees Vermaas (1965) graduated in technical business administration at the Institute of Technology in Rijswijk, The Netherlands.
Mr Vermaas started his career in 1992 as Head of IT and Logistics for a well-known Dutch franchise company within the Philips Group. Between 1995 and 2001, Mr Vermaas held a variety of positions in The Netherlands, ranging from Commercial Director of IT-firm IMC Business Applications to Management Consultant for both Getronics and CMG Finance.
Mr Vermaas was appointed as Head of Cash Market Netherlands of Euronext Amsterdam and Executive Director Sales Europe in December 2001. He was appointed Executive Vice President, Head of European Cash Markets in May 2009, with responsibility for NYSE Euronext’s European cash trading business, including equities, fixed income, operations, projects and business development.
In June 2010 Mr Vermaas was appointed as CEO of NYSE Euronext Amsterdam and member of the Managing Board of Euronext N.V. At the same time Mr Vermaas joined the Management Committee of NYSE Euronext. Furthermore he has global responsibility for International Business Development for Cash and Listing.
