Chairman of Aon Nederland CEO of Aon Risk Services

Lex Geerdes (born in Groningen in 1961) has been working with Aon (previously Hudig-Langeveldt) since 1986. He is chairman of Aon Nederland and CEO of Aon Risk Services, part of Aon Nederland which advises companies on their Risk Management and Insurance Broking needs. Lex is a member of the Aon Risk Services Global

Executive Committee. Within Aon, he is also responsible for Belgium, Luxembourg, Nordics (Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden) and the Dutch Carribean.

Lex Geerdes worked as Managing Director for Aon Paris from 1993 to 1997. In this period he was also a board member of Aon France. In 1992 Lex was Director International Department of Aon Paris. With Hudig-Langeveldt Atlanta USA he worked for 3 years as North American Representative and was responsible for advising Dutch companies in the US and Canada. Lex started his carrier with Hudig-Langeveldt first as property broker, after that he became account manager.

After his study Economics at the Erasmus University (1979-1985) Lex did several insurance studies. He is also ‘register makelaar in assurantiën (RMiA)’. At INSEAD Business school in Fontainebleau, he participated in the International Executive Programme (1997).
