Jim Emanuels studied business economics and accountancy at the RUG and promoted in 1995 on his research concerning the way in which accountants decide in conflict situations. Since 2003, he is professor administrative information provision at the RUG. He is publishing on regular basis in this field, and is often asked for speaking for groups of professionals, e.g. in MBA programs.
Jim Emanuels is one of the professionals who started the Tacstone group (2006), a group which is specialized in entrepreneurial advising. Part of this group is Stantson, an advising organization specialized in risk- and process management. Jim is partner at Stantson and specialized in the field of strategy, intern control and risk management. The past 20 years, Jim was active in the accountancy and consulting business. In 1986 he started at Dijker and Doornbos, which was later on acquired by
Coopers & Lybrand. In 1996 he moved to KPMG, where he as a partner, from 1997 till 2005, was in charge of several strategic and financial advising groups of KPMG consulting and law successors.
Amongst the clients he served are listed companies, other large organizations and NGO's.
