Drs. R. (Robbert) Klaasman (CEO Friesland Bank)

Robbert Klaasman (1959) worked at Credit Lyonnais Bank Nederland BV, Amsterdam (1985-1991); Bank Mees & Hope NV/ Meespierson NV, Amsterdam (1991-1995), ING Bank NV, Amsterdam (1995-2004); and Fortis Bank (Nederland) NV, Rotterdam (2004-2009).

Until 2005, he was Senior Banker Corporate & Investment Banking at the Fortis Bank (Nederland) NV. From 2008 till 2009 he was General Director Corporate Clients the Netherlands and Vice Chairman of the Management Team Fortis Global Corporate & Public Banking. In this function he was responsible for the representation Global Corporate & Public Banking and the design and implementation of Fortis’ strategy concerning global activities in the area of financial services to big business clients and relationships in the public sector.

Robbert Klaasman came into the Executive Board of the Friesland Bank at January 2009. He is appointed as Chairman of the Executive Board in April 2009. He is, apart from being CEO, responsible for commerce, the so called cluster market.
