International Financial Program

The Risk International Financial Program is a study trip to a country outside Europe. This year’s destinations are Costa Rica & Panama! Costa Rica & Panama are two beautiful and promising countries in Central America. As a participant your involvement in the IFP will start in September 2011. The journey to Costa Rica & Panama consists of 2.5 weeks of research and 3 weeks of travelling. We will leave for Costa Rica & Panama at the end of April, after the last exams of semester 2.1. Five weeks later, June 2012, we will return to Amsterdam.

The Risk International Financial Program is for Dutch students only.

Preparation

The preparation of the research will take place in the Netherlands. Aside from the research preparation some informal activities will be organized for the participants in the IFP. As a participant you will spend around 4 hours per week on several activities. This is just an indication, in September and October you will spend less time on the IFP, in January, February, and March you will spend more time on the IFP.

Study delay

The study trip to Costa Rica & Panama lasts for five weeks. Therefore, it is possible to participate in the IFP without study delay: you won’t miss any exams.

Costs

The costs of the 2.5 weeks of research are covered by the Risk IFP. The participating students are expected to pay a contribution to the costs of the study trip. The costs for these students is the price of the airline ticket to Panama or Costa Rica, depending on the place of research. The expected costs of the airline tickets are €700 - €800.

Beside the cost of the airline ticket, the student has to pay a sort of ‘bail’. This bail is set at €150,-. After the research is conducted and the report is finished, the students’ €150,- will be refunded.
