International Financial Program

The International Financial Program (IFP) is a research project of Financial Study Association Risk. This research will be conducted in an emerging country outside of Europe, which we will visit for five weeks. Two and a half weeks will be used for conducting research, the others for travelling. The destination of the International Financial Program this year is Tanzania! We have experience with performing research for companies since 2006 and have visited countries like India, Cuba, and Vietnam. Participating firms in former editions were KPMG, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, and Philips. Examples of topics covered in earlier research include the fiscal climate in Panama and the working conditions in Mexico.

Do you want to conduct research and gain international experience? Then being an IFP participant is the perfect opportunity for you! Together with 20 other ambitious students you will not only conduct research, but also participate in the preparation of the trip.

We are looking for enthusiastic, internationally oriented and creative students. Our participants may be active in any field related to Economics & Business and can origin from all countries around the world.

The project will start in September 2018 and end in June 2019. First you will help to acquire the participating firms, after that we will do desk research and then visit the country. You will end the project by presenting your findings to the companies. You will spend approximately 12 hours a week on the project. The different phases of the project are summarized below:

- Preparation phase (September 2018 – January 2019)
- Desk phase (January 2019 - April 2019)
