IFP 2013 - Brazil

As the Risk International Financial Program Board 2012-2013, we wish you a warm welcome to our site. In the spring of 2013 we will fly to the developing, yet very promising country of Brazil! Not only is Brazil very interesting businesswise, with its salsa, weather and culture it is one of the most beautiful countries in Latin America. We will stay in Brazil for five weeks to do business as well as to travel and have fun.

The Risk International Financial Program (IFP) is an international trip in which 21 top students get the opportunity to do research in an emerging market. They will be accompanied by two teachers from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. After the research weeks are over, there are opportunities to travel through Brazil in groups.

IFP will mainly focus on financial research. This means that there will be a focus on financial institutions such as banks, investment funds and insurance companies or other organizations from other sectors which wish to conduct financial research in Brazil.

The Brazilian economy is one of the fastest growing economies in Latin America and one of the most consistent growing economies in the world. Moreover, Brazil is open to and encourages foreign investments, making it a perfect country to do business research in. Brazil is the largest foreign direct investment (FDI) recipient in Latin America, bringing in almost half of the total FDI being made in this part of the world.
